Score Big For Team Earth!
Let’s face it, whether or not you’re a football fan, you’ll probably be attending or hosting a Super Bowl party this Sunday as the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos battle for the NFL title. Yes, it’s a chance to get together with family and friends and yell and cheer, but don’t forget that it’s also an opportunity to put some environmentally sustainable practices into play. So, why not make these three simple tips a part of your party playbook this coming Sunday?
- Bring your own bag! When shopping for those chips, dips and nachos-fixins’, be sure to bring your own reusable bag to the grocery store. First down, Team Earth!
- Reduce the waste! Consider purchasing drinks by the gallon instead of individual bottles and have your friends and family bring their own reusable cups and glasses to your party! Pass complete!
- Recycle! Recycle! Recycle! Once the party is over, be sure and recycle all those glass bottles and aluminum cans! Touchdown!
In the end, if you adopt these sustainable practices, it’ll be a win-win-win for everyone involved. And even if your team doesn’t end up with the trophy, you will have scored big for Team Earth!
