LA Stormwater Website Garners Premier Web Marketing Award
The City of Los Angeles LA Stormwater website is the recipient of the Web Marketing Association’s 2012 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development in the area of Environmental Excellence. Re-designed and re-launched in spring 2012, the LA Stormwater site consistently achieved scores higher than the industry average in the areas of technology, interactivity, copy writing and ease of use when evaluated by the Web Marketing Association. “Our online presence is integral to the success of our overall program,” said Shahram Kharaghani, LA Stormwater Program Manager. “We are pleased to receive this prestigious award and proud of the positive impact our website and related online media has on the community,” continued Kharaghani.
Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for website development. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries. The best are recognized with a WebAward which helps interactive professionals promote themselves, their companies, and their best work to the outside world. The WebAward Competition is the premier award recognition program for Web developers and marketers worldwide.
The LA Stormwater website is administered by the City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Sanitation, Watershed Protection Division and is one component in a comprehensive online social and e-media program. In addition to the website, the program oversees a Facebook page, a blog, a quarterly e-newsletter and a YouTube channel.
