Blue 4 Blue Clean Water Photo Contest

You lean back in your chair, enjoying the sun’s rays and the gentle breeze. You reach into your bag, pull out some sunscreen and apply a generous amount on your arms and face, knowing that you’ll be getting a lot of sun today. You notice that it’s crowded here today, even for a weekend and smile as the smell of hot dogs wafts your way. There’s excitement in the air and you can feel it! You look out and notice a wave beginning to form. Small at first, it starts to grow in size and seems to be working its way towards you. It takes a few minutes to build, but then suddenly, it’s upon you!  You stand, throw up your arms and scream, “Go Dodgers!” as the wave continues racing around the stadium.

Here at LA Stormwater, we’re big fans of waves. We’re also big fans of the color blue. It’s the color of clean water, and it’s the color of our Los Angeles Dodgers. That’s why we’re launching our first ever Blue 4 Blue photo contest. Submit a photo of clean water, and you’ll be entered into a contest to win a voucher for two Reserve Level tickets to a Dodger home game. Two lucky winners will be chosen randomly to receive a ticket voucher for two seats. As Vin Scully would say, “Here’s the pitch!”

1. Take a photo that includes a shot of clean water here in LA. Some great examples include the Los Angeles River, Santa Monica Bay, Ballona Creek, Venice Beach –  you get the idea!

2. Fill in your information in the form below. Be sure to include your e-mail address, name, and a description of your photo. Upload your photo. No photos larger than 20 mb, please.

3. Submit your completed form and photo by Friday, August 10, 2012.

We’ll announce the two lucky winners on August 14, 2012, which also happens to be the birthday of Magic Johnson, one of the newest owners of the LA Dodgers.

So get out there and take a home run of a clean water picture. You wouldn’t want to strike out on this opportunity to score some blue 4 blue!
