Clean Water Virtual Scavenger Hunt Rules & Regulations
The LA Stormwater Program is hosting a Clean Water Virtual Scavenger Hunt to introduce our new and improved LA Stormwater website! The contest will be held over 3 consecutive days on the LA Stormwater blog. Check out the contest details below:
PRIZES:
More than 1 winner will be awarded a grand prize, which increases your possibility of winning. There will be a total of 4 grand prize winners! Winners will be selected at random from the pool of entrants who answer question 1, question 2 and question 3 correctly.
Grand prizes include:
- 4 IMAX Vouchers, courtesy of California Science Center
- Bike Rental for 4, courtesy of Perry’s
- Harbor Cruise for 2, courtesy of Spirit Cruises
- Harbor Cruise for 2, courtesy of Harbor Breeze Cruises
All participants will receive a LA Storm Drain and Marine Life poster!
CONTEST DATES: May 1 – 4
CONTEST DETAILS: The contest will take place over 3 consecutive days, May 1, 2 & 3. Each day at 8AM, questions will be posted on the blog and hints will be given in the blog text. Participants may answer each question the day the question is posted or answer all the questions by the deadline, May 4th. All answers will be found on the NEW LA Stormwater Program website.
Answers must be submitted in the comment section to the corresponding question. All answers in the comment section will be hidden until the end of the contest. Participants who answer all 3 questions on the same blog post will not be eligible for a grand prize. However, all participants that answer at least 1 question will win a LA Storm Drain and Marine Life poster.
DEADLINE: May 4, 2012 at 11:59PM
WHO MAY ENTER: Contest is open to all US residents with a valid email address.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be announced on May 7, 2012. Winners will be notified on the LA Stormwater blog and by email. Winners will be required to provide their mailing address which will be used to fulfill the prize.

The one thing I don’t like about the contest is that it forces us to use Facebook. It forces our computers to pick up malware.

Hi Richard, the contest does not require participants to use Facebook. We have only posted additional hints on Facebook, but it is not a mandatory part of the contest. We ask that participants submit their answers through our blog comment section not on Facebook.
